The Nikon Coolpix P60 is equipped with a 5x optical Nikkor zoom lens that offers outstanding precision and sharp resolution. The Nikon Coolpix P60 is one of the more interesting point-and-shoot digital cameras on the market, offering an attractive combination of sensible 8 megapixel resolution and 5x zoom lens complete with CCD-shift image stabilization for blur-free images. The P60’s 36-180mm lens isn’t as wide as the 28mm optic on the older P50 model, but it does offer both a 2.5 inch LCD screen and electronic viewfinder to make composition easier. The Nikon Coolpix P60 is a compact digital still camera designed for performance. The Nikon P60 is designed to appeal to camera with its comfortable handgrip and traditional black colour.

Built on a custom application of Nikon EXPEED digital image processing concept, the Coolpix P60 is built to provide optimum performance and maximum image quality. It also features a 5x Zoom-Nikkor lens that can zoom in tight for photo subjects ranging from landscapes to close-up portraits. The Coolpix P60 realizes optimum performance and maximum image quality. An impressive effective megapixel count of 8.1 enhances the potential of the high performance digital image-processing engine for outstanding image quality, while an improved 5x Zoom-NIKKOR lens delivers yet more flexibility by ably covering a range from panoramic landscapes to close-up portraits.

Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) creates sharp, blur-free pictures, even if your subject is moving. And the 27 Shooting Modes, including movie with sound, allow you to master any shooting situation. Manual control is slightly misleading: although you can choose from a range of shutter speeds between 1/1,200 second and 8 seconds, you can only set a minimum and maximum aperture. Power is supplied by readily available AA-size batteries, which means that the Coolpix P60 can be used in virtually any location without worrying about recharging or running out of power.
