The ShoreTel VoIP solution has a remarkable integration of complex telephony technology with productivity-enhancing features and solid design. From the outstanding phones to the well-designed ShoreWare Director management console. The ShoreTel VoIP phone system is distributed, the voice applications are integrated, and the management interface is best in class. The ShoreTel VoIP phone system scales seamlessly from 0 to 10,000 users making it a perfect match for small, medium and large businesses. A completely integrated system with PBX, voice mail and automated attendant functionality, the solution has installation, administration and management tools built-in that are easy to administer in-house.
The Shoretel VoIP system was designed to maintain traditional phone features but to also provide much more. The system allows users to dial calls through a desktop application that is connected to their MS Outlook phone directories. Call control is distributed to intelligent gateways - called voice switches - and voice applications, including voicemail and automated attendant, run on standard server hardware from anywhere on your IP network. The result is a single-image system across all geographies, with complete feature transparency.
Call quality on VOIP has also improved significantly, according to TeleGeography. However, the Washington, D.C., research company said new features and quality aren’t the main motivations for international VOIP.
