More On Nokia N810 Internet Tablet

The Nokia N810 features a highly customizable user interface containing a Mozilla based browser with Ajax and Adobe flash 9, Bluetooth headset support as well as enhanced video and audio features. The Nokia N810 is one of those “why do I really need it” types of devices. The size of a cell phone, it offers some (but nowhere near all) of the same features as a modern laptop – putting it in a unique place in the market. The Nokia N810 has 4.1-inch touchscreen has an 800 x 400-pixel resolution with up to 65K colors. You can access controls and an onscreen keyboard, or slide-out the physical QWERTY keyboard at the bottom for even easier typing.

The Nokia N810 uses Maemo , a carefully designed, lightweight Linux distribution that tries to squeeze as much performance as possible into the smallest storage footprint. The Nokia N810 is a feature rich multimedia internet device that really packs a lot into a small package while managing to keep it as simple as possible. The unit sports 128mb of DDR memory, a 256mb main drive (flash), a 2gb secondary drive, a TI OMAP 2420 processor running at a blazing 400Mhz (hey, for something this size, 400mhz is fast!), and a 4.13″ WVGA screen capable of doing 65,000 colors at 800×480 pixels of resolution.

The Nokia N810’s battery is rated for 4 hours of continuous use (with display and Wi-Fi on) and up to 14 days of standby time. It also claims 10 hours of music playback and up to 5 days of online time. The Nokia N810 allows you to make internet calls; check your e-mail or watch the latest videos or update your blog using the device’s slide-out keyboard along with its stunning touch screen. Its built-in maps and satellite navigation helps you to find your way. Nokia N810 is a so called Internet Tablet that, even if it may look like a regular mobile phone, is intended for browsing the web and communicating over wireless networks such as WiFi and Bluetooth. It’s based on Debian GNU/Linux and has borrowed a lot of things from the GNOME project.

Nokia N810 is the result of hard work of Nokia’s experts. No doubt all the latest and attractive features are available in Nokia N810. Internet tablet mini PCs are becoming increasingly popular because of their small size and ever-growing capabilities. The Nokia N810 was released this week, and this Internet tablet PC only weighs about 8 ounces and is only 5 inches wide. Internet radio works fine though, and the n810 standard media player has a whole list of internet radio channels standard. Compared to a mobile phone, the Nokia N810 should have a longer standby time, since the battery is less burdened because of the lack of a call function. When you use the Nokia N810 every now and then to surf the Internet or to listen to music, the battery will last a couple of days.
